Microsoft Windows Cloud
Last Wednesday, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer announced releasing a new operating system within a month. The new operating system is not a replacement of Windows 7. It is not intended for normal users neither. Instead, it is intended for developers of Internet-based applications. So, the code name is Windows Cloud.
"We need a new operating system designed for the cloud and we will introduce one in about four weeks, we’ll even have a name to give you by then. But let’s just call it for the purposes of today Windows Cloud," Ballmer said
Cloud computing is Internet based development and the cloud is a metaphor for the Internet and is an abstraction for the complex infrastructure it conceals.
Will Windows Cloud include Internet-based versions of the regular Windows applications? May be!
